Best of Both Wet and Dry Style Booms
The SDI "Optimum" Turf Boom combines the best features of both "wet" and "dry" style booms for broadcast spraying applications. The "Optimum" Turf Boom is offered in 3 sizes, 15', 18' and 15-21' Convertible.
The "convertible" boom (pictured above) offers the ability to "convert" between 15 and 21 foot spray applications, allowing you to use the same boom for both greens and fairways. SDI's jigged and welded mounting tabs provide perfect spacing for broadcast applications. All of SDI's "Optimum" booms include standard break-away either forward or in reverse. We offer 10" or 20" nozzle spacing on the 15' booms and 20" spacing on the other booms.
All "Optimum" booms include triple nozzle bodies as standard equipment. The triple nozzle body allows for quick changes of application rate using a rotating turret with user installed spray tips. Available boom accessories include gauge wheels to keep the end nozzles from striking the ground, ground contour wheels, and electric boom lifts.
Walking Spray Boom
Designed for Maneuverability and Easy Assembly
 SDI's three wheel Walking Spray Booms are designed for improved maneuverability and quick and easy assembly. These units feature a Stainless steel "wet" boom with the pressure gauge connected directly for accurate calibration. Our 6.5' boom includes 8 drip-free diaphragm check nozzles on 10" centers and a trigger style On/Off control with lock. The 10' walking boom folds in 3 sections and has 12 nozzles on 10" centers.
The three wheel design is constructed with 12" pneumatic tires for uniform spray height, straight line stability and ease of control for accurate chemical application and lessened operator fatigue.
The SDI Walking Spray Boom is available with optional speedometer to increase the accuracy of your application. A carrier bracket is available for easy and convenient storage on your sprayer and will fit on any SDI "Optimum" spray boom.
